12-Week Curriculum Breakdown
A structured journey from first words to confident expression
Weeks 1-3: Finding Your Voice
Week 1: Welcome & Confidence Building
Introduction to the program, ice-breaker games, learning each other's names, creating a safe space.
Week 2: Speaking Clearly (Voice and Body)
Vocal projection exercises, posture practice, eye contact games, expressing emotions through voice.
Week 3: Listening Skills (Listening with Respect)
Active listening activities, turn-taking games, asking questions politely, showing respect when others speak.
Weeks 4-6: Storytelling & Expression
Week 4: Storytelling Basics
Beginning, middle, end structure; describing people and places; using descriptive language.
Week 5: Expressing Feelings & Ideas
Talking about emotions, sharing opinions, explaining why you think something, expressing preferences.
Week 6: Introduction to Leadership
Understanding leadership as service, taking responsibility, teamwork basics, helping others.
Weeks 7-9: Teamwork & Debate Basics
Week 7: Teamwork and Cooperation
Working in groups, sharing roles, collaborative problem-solving, supporting teammates.
Week 8: Giving Opinions and Reasons
"I think... because..." structure, backing up ideas with simple reasons, respectful disagreement.
Week 9: Introduction to Debating
Friendly debates on fun topics, agreeing and disagreeing politely, taking turns to speak.
Weeks 10-12: Showcase & Celebration
Week 10: Public Speaking Practice
Preparing "My First Speech," practicing in front of the class, giving and receiving encouragement.
Week 11: Showcase Preparation
Rehearsing for Elevate Day, finalizing speeches, preparing for parent showcase event.
Week 12: Showcase & Celebration (Elevate Day)
Final presentations in front of family, certificate ceremony, celebration of growth and achievement!
